The Mandrake, an award-winning luxury boutique hotel on Newman Street nestled in the heart of London’s Fitzrovia.

Inspired by the medicinal properties of the plant after which it is named, this daring, unique and totally new hotel concept - converted from a RIBA award-winning building on Newman Street, Fitzrovia, opened in September 2017.

Here you will find eclectic, vibrant interiors combined with carefully curated artwork, intriguing soundscapes from sound engineer Pierre-Arnaud Alunni and specially designed Azzi Glasser scents that further create an ambience that is intimate and intriguing at every turn.

The over-riding sensation is one of hedonistic fun with a hint of the surreal.

Here open-minded spirits of wonder become part of an alternate reality, that allows them to shine, to celebrate life, to forget where they have come from and to escape into the haven that is The Mandrake.

At The Mandrake you can also experience the first overseas venture from the critically acclaimed, Michelin-starred Hong Kong restaurant Serge et le Phoque, with its radical yet refined approach that uses modern French techniques and the finest ingredients. Capacity: 60 seated 150 standing

At the heart of this beautifully designed, 58-cover restaurant is a 16-person private dining room.
The Private Dining Room is an exquisite, red lacquered salon in which 28 individual paint processes have created an extraordinary setting that is both distinguished and dramatic in West End, London. It is ideal for dinner, lunch or even breakfast. Our sommelier, Bert Baize, will be on hand to advise on wine or offer bespoke wine tastings. The Private Dining Room can also be reserved at any other time of day for meetings or discussions. Capacity: 16 pax

Waeska Bar at The Mandrake is the perfect spot in which to sample a botanical-based house cocktail created by the expert team of mixologists. In addition to the seasoned favourites, it will offer rare and unusual brands from all over the world, but with an emphasis on smaller, highly crafted distillers. The cocktail philosophy concentrates on seasonality and simplicity, expertly mixed by some of London's finest bartenders. Furthermore, the room is elegant, extraordinary and comfortable with retractable glass doors opening onto a private courtyard. This exceptional accommodation is set across four floors, which rise up from the striking central outdoor courtyard designed by world renowned landscape architects Bureau Bas Smets. At the heart of this space lies a lush, evergreen sanctuary where trails of jasmine and passion flowers cascade down.

On the first floor terrace another surprise lies in wait - a greenhouse full of exotic plants where you can relax or enjoy an intimate private dinner.

The Theatre combines three major art works with a flawless bar. One is a multiscreen sensor-activated interactive piece that-continually adapts to the activity in the room. Another is an epic work of ink and canvas covering an entire wall. And the third is an expression from one of the world’s leading graffiti artists. The room has a theatre and state of the art audio visual equipment, which can be used for film screenings, live performances, Q&As and intimate soirees.

This awesome contemporary top floor apartment is flooded with rooftop light. Encased in white Veronese marble, its focal point is a bed of epic scale and comfort with a cashmere mattress handmade in Devon and covered in fabric from the Isle of Bute. The bathroom features a steam room, dual showers and a state of the art jacuzzi under a retractable roof.

There is a 6 person dining table and the space can host parties of up to 40 people.
